Meet Aziza

Hey! Welcome to my page. (In my Jay-Z voice) "Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Aziza!" I'm a Cali girl through and through. I was born in Oakland, California, in the 1900s (LOL) and moved to Southern California when I was 5. I come from a huge family—too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to count.  Big families usually mean big food gatherings, so I'm very familiar with love, laughter, and food being intertwined.  Food has always been a huge part of my existence like another family member.  It was always there, through sickness and in health (no pun intended).

After building a career rooted in the arts and design, I noticed something shifting — and not in a good way. My relationship with food had taken a back seat, and all of those bad habits and choices were finally catching up with me. That's when it hit me: food is either working for you or against you, and at that point, it was definitely working against me.  So I did what any determined woman does — I went and got the answers my doctors weren't giving me. I got certified in Nutritional Therapy, dove deep into the science of food and healing, and used everything I learned to turn my own health around. And let me tell you, it's been a constant, ever-evolving journey — one I show up for every single day.  Now I'm navigating perimenopause, and trust me, there are a lot of symptoms to manage — LOL. But here's the thing: I have the knowledge and the tools to handle it, and I'm not keeping any of that to myself. I don't gatekeep. If I've found something that works, I want every woman to have access to it. I'm deeply passionate about helping others overcome their symptoms, reclaim their health, and step into the most powerful, vibrant versions of themselves.

Fun fact about me...I am a certified foodie!  A healthy foodie!

I love food, especially if it is healthy and delectable.  I've done my share of trying healthy dishes, recipes, and diets.  I've eliminated certain food groups, added in other foods, and swapped/substituted everything you can think of.  I adjust my food/eating habits according to my health/healing needs.  I'm a firm believer that food is medicine and every bite counts.  Another fun fact is I love to bake.  I pride myself on baking the tastiest gluten-free baked goods, especially for the holidays.  I fell into baking after discovering that family doesn't care if you have certain dietary restrictions, they will not be deterred from the traditional family recipes (no matter how unhealthy they are).  So, I started baking my own sweets and bringing them to the family gatherings.  Needless to say, my baked goods are a hit, and everybody loves them.  I usually spill the tea on them being gluten-free/vegan/vegetarian/dairy-free after the fact (LOL).
